KITING CANNON BEACH
I love kiting. Especially on days when it's too cold to be in the water but nice enough to walk the beach. It evokes a child-like sense of play and joy. Running in fields and along beaches. Working with the wind.
Last year I bought a cheap two person kite which is sweet when you're with another person. But, it can be super challenging for the kite not to aggressively spiral in on itself. It's a test to your communication skills big time. Navigating wind direction and positioning, as it soars higher and higher.
Here are some iphone snaps from my time kiting with Joe along Cannon Beach.Though, I will say that 70% of the time the wind was so strong that our lines were tangled and we were sitting on the beach trying to untangle them.
